The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has created stopbullying.gov in order to respond to and prevent the problem of bullying in schools. This website answers questions for concerned parents, students, and community members who want their children to be safe.
The site defines bullying, the roles youth play, and how it affects age groups from early childhood through college-aged youth. It explains what cyber bullying is and how to prevent it from happening. Plus, it teaches parents and school staff how to talk to children about bullying. It offers a Bullying Prevention Training Course online for those interested in obtaining continuing education credit or just to learn more about it. Best of all, it gives kids tips on how to Stop Bullying on the Spot and to Be More Than a Bystander.
