The DOJ’s Office for Victims of Crime has produced a web resource that helps people understand, intervene, and treat children who have been exposed to crime. Through Our Eyes: Children, Violence, and Trauma: Videos and Resources is full of helpful videos for “local law enforcement, child and family services, community leaders, educators, coaches, and parents” who don’t want to be passive bystanders to youth victimization any longer.
Some of the videos that might be helpful to our NoSchoolViolence.org supporters include “Addressing Violence in the Home” and “Interventions in School”. They can be found on the website or YouTube channel.
These videos give professional opinions on how anybody can intervene and save a child from abusive situations, and they give understanding to the signs a child have when they are being exposed to violence. This exposure to violence can damage a child for life. These videos, including a handy resource guide, are a perfect tool for anybody wanting to keep kids safe and healthy.
