The National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Inc. is an organization that builds chapters of youth to promote “meaningful student involvement, education and service opportunities in efforts to provide safer environments for youth.”
By building 2,200 chapters in schools and communities across America since 1989, membership of this student-run organization has increased to 220,000 members. As a SAVE member, youth learn how to find alternatives to violent behavior, practicing what they learn in their school and in the community. They learn things like crime prevention and conflict management skills. Students of all ages help promote activities during National SAVE Day, National Runaway Prevention Month, World Kindness Day, National Youth Violence Prevention Week (April 3-7, 2017), and other cool events throughout the year.
