NSV Highlight on: SchoolSafetyInfo.org

by Sean Hedden

SchoolSafetyInfo.org is a website supported by the U.S. Department of Justice and provided by the Justice Technology Information Center (JTIC) to give law enforcement and public safety officials the proper resources to “prepare, respond, and recover” from school violence incidents. Resources include School Safety News Alerts providing recent information on grants given to schools, how organizations are preventing school violence, and  other relevant success stories.

The site also has resources that will help for-profit organizations, universities, and nonprofit organizations  to prepare and respond to violence. This is a clearinghouse of info for school safety advocates. With links to professional organizations, federal government agencies, state agencies, and products that help keep students safe–NoSchoolViolence.org hopes anyone wanting to learn how to prevent and respond to school violence checks this out.
